Description
The Smart Meter Shield Set is a set of two RF Shielding flexible materials with grounding cord to provide protection against smart meter radiation. The first material is made of Nickel-Copper RF shielding Fabric that reflects the RF radiation with vastly superior tarnish and corrosion resistance due to nickel plating. Polyester ripstop base fabric has been used in this material to provide toughness and light weight both. The material is only 0.08 mm thick and has surface resistance of 0.01-0.03 Ohm/ sq. Nickel has been used in this product and as it can cause skin allergies, the material should not come in direct contact with skin. Protective gloves should be used while handling the product. The second material is a microwave absorbing material with plastic coating on both sides so that the product could be used much easily. Non-woven nearly pure carbon fibers have been used in this material to achieve both good microwave shielding and high absorption. This carbon material is conductive in some forms and it is also a very good microwave absorber. The layers of MW Absorbing sheet should be doubled or tripled to increase the effectiveness. The layer of Microwave absorber material can be combined with a layer of high performance fabric shield such as nickel copper ripstop (available on Amazon). The inside of the shield should be lined with absorber. The product can scavenge any RF which might leak in. It is not necessary to make grounding for this product and the repeated bending/ flexing of this product should be minimized.
